On 21 May, after a lot of hard work Sena No.15 has now moved under its own power and we intend to use it on some trains over the gala weekend doubleheaded with our other Brigadelok 1091, a first in the UK.
We are delighted to report that Sena No.15 passed its boiler inspection exam on 17 May and will be in steam for the GWR/NGR Gala from 24 to 27 May. There is some outstanding mechanical work which it is intended to complete over the next few days. If this work is successful,it is intended to operate the loco on passenger trains, although lack of a power brake means it will be doubleheaded. Look out for trains with Sena No.15 and 1091, the first doubleheaded Brigadeloks in the UK. Updates will be posted on this website.
